WHERE DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?

Note: All Sections of Scouting

are of mixed gender, and as such, require mixed Leadership. Both Males &

Females (minimum age of 18 years) are eligible, and encouraged, to volunteer

their services for any Section after undergone a character checks.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?

Just recently, we have had a

number  of older leaders over our District opting to retire due to age and

physical restrictions.

On top of this, a number of

younger leaders have shifted, or will be shifting, to other areas way beyond our

boundaries.

These losses have left a huge

gap in our ranks, and greatly effect what we are able to organise, and offer,

our younger members, all of whom have the right to expect greater things.

Your help will not only mean

that we will be able to give a better program to the young members but also,

with your knowledge and expertise, a wider variety.

WHO DO I CONTACT if I wish to

discuss this further?

ME - THE ADULT?

Scouting involves fun and

learning.

  • It gives you the

opportunity to help organise, and take part in, a vast range of activities,

  • It give you the chance to

introduce new and refreshing ideas for the benefit of members, as well as to

help guide the future path of Scouting in S.A.

  • Scouting is a hobby with

people, and gives you the opportunity to meaningfully help the community in

which you live, and the citizens therein, passing on new skills to the

    members.

  • Any accredited training

courses that you undertake within the Scout Movement can be added to your

Curriculum Vitae (CV) in support job search/employment applications. It may
