Place the 20th February 2004 in your sporting history books for Western Australia Rugby League, as that is the day that the Rockingham Coastal Sharks and Sporting club became an incorporated body.The marriage between the Rockingham Rugby League Club (The Raiders) and the Coastal Cowboys Rugby League Club is nearing completion with only the formal winding up of the two clubs at 12:00 Noon on Sunday 21st March left to consider. The Rockingham Coastal Sharks and Sporting Club was so named to reflect the previous clubs of Rockingham and Coastal, and to marry the club to a Coastal City which is fast becoming a growing Rugby League Nursery, and to reflect the coastal existence that we all enjoy. The sharks' emblem just adds to the aquatic flavour of where we all choose to live. We choose the colours originally as a result of Cronulla Sutherland providing our combined grand final team in 2003 a set of neutral jumpers and have decided to stay with those colours of blue, white and black. The colours provide some real fashionable options when ordering dress gear, and other merchandise. The emblem kindly borrowed, and altered slightly, from the American National League team New Jersey Sharks

Hans de Jong Self Defence School teaches Tsutsumi Hozan Ryu Jujutsu and Yoseikan Aikido. Jujutsu is the unarmed combat system of the Samurai, and is purely an art of self defence and not a sport. It is not base on strength but uses an attacker’s force and directs it to where it might be controlled. This non-resistance allows for a highly effective method of self defence that can be used by everybody. You do not have to be strong, big, athletic, aggressive or young to be effective. Aikido, based on Jujutsu, is a "softer" flowing art, which is based on harmonising (Ai) with an attacker, and the energy (ki) of his attack. Yoseikan Aikido is a well developed martial arts system, which includes Aikido, Judo, Sword and Stick work.

HISTORY The West Perth Football Club is the oldest of the WAFL Clubs, and was formed on 2 May 1885. The Club was originally called “The Victorians” because the game was played in accordance with what were known as “Victorian Rules”. Only 2 other WAFL Clubs existed at that time but neither survived beyond the 1800s. In 1891, the Club adopted the name “West Perth Football Club” because most of the players lived in the West Perth area. West Perth have won 18 Premierships in its 121 years history.
